This was my first introduction to sustainability certification and consultancy (Green Globe) and I saw this as the ideal way for me to combine work with my interests. Back in the Netherlands, I developed a sustainability scan for organizations and started working for Duurzame Hotels Nederland BV for almost 7 years, as consultant and auditor for several labels.<\/p>\n Starting my own company Green Label Service was the next step. Within my work, I share my knowledge about sustainability and I enjoy seeing the positive developments with every new visit.<\/p>\n Sometimes I get told that people just don’t care, or that the efforts of just one person don’t matter. But if everyone does that little bit extra, I think it makes the difference that we need. Certified tourism companies prove that being a sustainable tourism business makes good business sense. To extend my knowledge in this area, I did the master’s degree in Strategy & Organization at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam with a specific focus on various sustainability topics such as CSR, sustainability labels, greenwashing and ethics.<\/p>\n Based on my personal and professional values, I am convinced of the power of responsibility and sustainable choices. My motivation, as a sustainability consultant at Green Label Service, is to translate this enthusiasm into concrete action.<\/p>\n I enjoy working with clients towards a Green Key or Green Globe certification to make a positive impact in the hospitality industry.
